Mainly used to measure the energy balance of soil and thermal conductivity of soil layer. The thermopile is measured, which is composed of two different metal materials. The thermopile generates a temperature difference potential after receiving thermal radiation, and calculates the heat flux value.

Interface description

Wide voltage power input 10~30V is available. When wiring the 485 signal line, pay attention to the A/B lines cannot be connected in reverse, and the addresses of multiple devices on the bus cannot conflict.

Wiring Instructions

How to use

Choose an open field that is relatively uniform and representative of the observation area within the research range, avoiding stones. First, dig a vertical pit with a shovel, keeping the excavated soil intact so that the original soil structure can be restored after the sensor is installed. The sensor is installed on one side of the excavated pit, and the depth of the hole to be excavated to the soil surface is measured (generally 0.05m). Use a knife or shovel to dig horizontally at the required installation depth. Insert the heat flux sensor into the horizontal cut. In order to measure the accurate soil heat flux, it is necessary to ensure that the heat flux plate is in full contact with the soil, and the soil is backfilled according to the density of the original soil. Do not lead the sensor cable directly to the surface, and bury the sensor cable horizontally at a distance of at least 1 meter to reduce heat conduction through the wire. After the sensor and cable are installed, backfill all the soil to the original position. If a soil temperature sensor is installed at the same time, it is usually installed near the heat flux sensor at a distance of 0.02 or 0.04 m from the soil surface.
