What's FCA US SGW?

FCA vehicles (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) have been protected with an SGW security module (Secure since 2017 Gateway) to prevent unauthorized diagnostics and security attacks.
This module limits diagnostic capabilities without authorized diagnostic tools. This limits functions ranging from Bi-directional testing to DTC clearing. The vehicle’s SGW will need to be "unlocked" by the authenticated tester, and the Diagnostic tools.

Now FCA US is using the Automatic Authentication Authority (AutoAuth) to manage user accounts for access to SGW vehicles.

The vehicles equipped with security gateways mainly include the following models: Chrysler series, Maserati series, Fiat series, Renault series, Nissan series, Mercedes-Benz series, and Volkswagen series.

Operation: Plug the adapter into the socket to perform various special functions.

Nissan 16+32 adapter

Applicable to Nissan models with B18 chassis (14th generation Nissan Sylphy, Sentra). There is currently no software unlocking method, only physical unlocking is possible.

Method: Turn off the ignition switch, then turn it back on. Press the accelerator twice within 10 seconds, then perform calibration.
