I am very pleased with this item and recommend. If you are like me and just can't toss out a good hard drive these are great. If the drive does not work play with the jumpers of the drive. some have a single drive setting that you need to use others master is fine.

The converter worked perfectly in a IDE Lightscribe DVD writer. In fact, it was installed together with an external USB 2.0 (speed more than enough to a DVD drive) enclosure. Worked flawlessly!
