Purchase Recommendations and Precautions
Before replacing the chain, please be sure to check the wear and tear of your bike's flywheel. If the flywheel is severely worn, it is recommended to replace it along with the flywheel. If you do not replace the flywheel,
New chains and old sprockets have different levels of wear, which can cause chain skipping, pedaling without engagement, and slippage during riding. This is usually due to the chain and sprockets not being properly aligned.
The lifespan of the chain is generally recommended by Shimano to be replaced after approximately 2500-3500 kilometers, or you can use a chain gauge to measure the chain pitch and gap
When the chain stretches by more than 0.5MM, it must be replaced, as chain wear accelerates the wear of the flywheel and can lead to a decrease in shifting performance. Regular cleaning, maintenance, and lubrication can extend the chain's lifespan!
3: Replacement recommendation: For example, replace after 6 months of riding or 3000 kilometers, or when the chain pitch gap is measured to be greater than 0.5MM.
