The small 3-7mm gem holder does not securely hold the stones, they shift as soon as the box is tilted. It’s really a headache as these are precious gems and each one needs to be kept strict track of so I can be sure of all the details such as carat weight, origin, treatment. I even tried to add a little layer of paper to help keep them in place but that doesn’t work. Perhaps if the top came with a thin layer of foam it would help keep them in place but the box would need to be adjusted so it could still snap closed. I had put them all in the box and securely snapped it - even added tape to make sure it didn’t come open. It just doesn’t work as designed. In my photo you can see a lot of them shifted.

The larger 7-10mm box kept the stones in place. I don’t know why the smaller one doesn’t work (see my other review with photo).

the 7mm stones are loose and shift around in the cavities during transportation.
