I explicitly purchased the USB 3.0 option, but the seller sent a fake shell containing cheap, old USB 2.0 hardware. I verified this using Linux system diagnostics (lsusb -v). The hardware chip descriptors hardcoded into the silicon completely expose the fraud: • Hardware ID: 14cd:1212 (Super Top Electronic Technology) • Chip Type: Pure USB 2.0 mass storage/microSD controller. • Protocol (bcdUSB): Hardcoded to 2.00 with a max speed of "High Speed" (480Mbps). A genuine USB 3.0 device is required by specification to report a descriptor of 2.10 or 3.00+ even when plugged into an older port. This chip lacks the physical internal architecture to ever reach USB 3.0 "SuperSpeed." You have been warned.
