It makes a loud sound when turning it on and off, which wakes the baby up. I don't know who the genius was who came up with the idea of making a loud sound that is different from white noise when turning off a device that is used with a sleeping baby. I don't recommend it for that reason. If it didn't have that sound, it would be perfect.
