The toy is equipped with a powerful motor, so it can move on soft surfaces, such as carpet. As stated, it has three modes - rolling, jumping, and rolling with jumping. On hard surfaces, the motor makes a sharp, loud sound when accelerating, which is more likely to scare the cat. This toy is more suitable for small breeds of dogs, especially if placed in a ball designed for chewing.
