Anbernic RG DS Plus Retro Handheld Game Console Dual Screen 4.3 Inch IPS RK3568 Linux 1GB RAM 16GB TF WiFi Bluetooth 4000mAh

This device works very, very well. I've been using it for three weeks straight and haven't run into any headaches. Flashed GammaOS Nano and changed the stylus to a mesh tips, it's a perfect modern DS.

arrived very quickly, faster than I expected. everything is in working order. the device itself is amazing, perfect for DS emulation and anything that is 4:3 aspect ratio. it's slightly bigger than a 3ds XL, but much lighter surprisingly. it's cool that it includes a stylus, RGC recommends getting some felt tips to replace the rubber tip for better touch screen gliding. Stock OS is impressive and feels DS-like, best stock OS I've seen for anbernic. I would highly recommend it as an intro dual screen device, especially if you plan to play a lot of DS.

The DPAD is a dome switch, I am more of a fan of membrane dpads since these dome ones suck for multidirectional inputs. the hinge is making a weird noise when I open and close it, everything works fine though. A LOT of slowdown in 3d DS games, most of the time I just keep the upscaling at 1x. I love this device, the embedded stylus is amazing, it's just a shame the sensitivity of the screen is not great, I often have to tap two or three times to recognize I am tapping the screen. I rate this a 3.7/5 cause it's far from perfect but it DOES get the job done and it's a noticable improvement over the RG DS 1.0 If they improved the DPAD, the screen sensitivity, gave it a better chip, I would give it a 5/5, The best features here is the screens, I love how big they are and the speakers are really good as well, no more crackling like the RG ds 1.0

Very nice unit for DS gaming removing one star because the 64GB model contains no DS games. I loaded some and I must say with the stylus this is a nicer presentation then the original for DS, however its lack of android and less ram are somewhat noticeable especially with Ports. I would call this one step forward and two steps back for Anbernic still a worthwhile handheld after you get rid of the stock OS

It's quite comfortable and large; I think it's ideal for playing DS games, but don't expect to play any 3DS games because it doesn't have enough performance to run those games. I think the experience with most DS games will be very good. I think the plastic is a bit inferior to that of the product they are trying to copy, but it's not bad. I just expected it to have the same plastic quality as other products I have from this brand. I also think the hinge makes a noise that worries me a little, but it feels sturdy at least for now, although I prefer the one on my SP. The stylus is okay, I don't think I'll use it much, but I like that it can be stored away. Although it feels a bit cheap, it doesn't have the same sturdiness as the original DS stylus. The included software is decent and has enough features to start playing. Overall happy, but there could be things that could have been done better.
