Features:
1. High-voltage output (10 kV–20 kV) ensures stable and reliable ignition
2. Dynamic frequency-sweep arc initiation eliminates the need for manual arc striking, making the process convenient, fast, and more efficient
3. Overheat protection mechanism with automatic MOSFET protection effectively prevents equipment damage caused by high temperatures
4. Compact design: The driver board and transformer are small and easy to integrate into various devices
5. Wide range of applications: Suitable for electronics DIY, scientific experiments, ignition of combustion equipment, and more
Parameter:
Product Name: Arc Igniter High-Voltage Module
Supply Voltage: DC 5–13V (Recommended: 3S battery or a switching power supply rated at 12V/10A or higher)
Supply Current: Must be greater than 7A (Insufficient supply current may, in rare cases, cause damage to the driver board)
Maximum Power: 80W
Output Voltage: AC 10kV–20kV
PCB Dimensions: 31x21x3mm
Transformer Dimensions: 20.8x17.7x19mm (excluding 4 pins)
Protection Mechanism: Automatic overheat protection for the driver board (effectively prevents the driver board from burning out due to high temperatures)
Applications: Electronics DIY, scientific experiments, ignition for combustion equipment, etc.
Notes:
This module uses dynamic frequency sweeping for automatic arc initiation, eliminating the need for manual arc striking. A buzzing sound during operation is normal. The high-voltage output cable should not exceed 50 cm in length; if extension is required, the power supply cable can be extended.
Test Data:
When powered by 8V and without a heat sink installed, the time from a cold start to triggering the overheat protection is approximately 1 minute and 30 seconds. After installing a heat sink, the time from a cold start to triggering the overheat protection is approximately 6 minutes; the transformer temperature is approximately 100°C, and the transformer functions normally with no damage.
Under 12V power supply conditions, without a heat sink installed on the driver board, the time from cold start to triggering the overheat protection is approximately 20 seconds. After installing a heat sink, the time from cold start to triggering the overheat protection is approximately 60 seconds. Under forced air cooling, continuous operation for 7 minutes caused the transformer to crack and become inoperable; therefore, the supplied transformer is not suitable for prolonged operation.
Special Notes:
1. Due to the high power output, the secondary output terminals (i.e., the high-voltage output pins) of the transformer must be properly insulated to prevent arcing at the high-voltage output pins, which could cause the pins to burn out or break. This is irreversible damage. If the secondary output terminals burn out or break due to insulation issues, it is considered buyer misuse and not a quality issue. Before applying insulation, only a brief power-on test is permitted.
2. The spark gap must be maintained within 20 mm. Excessive gap may, in rare cases, cause damage to the transformer. Do not operate the unit under no-load or short-circuit conditions.
Package include:

Make sure you solder the transformer in the right orientation. look through the instructions it says that the wires can be seen on the side and should point towards the circuit board. please check for yourself in case I didn't remember correctly, but what I do remember for sure is that it matters which end connects to a circuit board. also be aware that there are a couple versions of this item. One version uses a transformer that looks a little different. another thing to be aware of is that this version does not come with a heatsink although others do. this works fine without the heatsink if you don't run it for too long. I've not had it overheat

well after read the manual, using a computer source at 12 V line and use tão rigid wire até free points Works Fine, but with 9 voltar battery don't. IS necessary a high current.

I don’t think it’s big enough to zap a rat or mouse, perhaps a mosquito?
