This is a really neat little device. I ordered more as soon as I got it.

Use ESPHome to adapt it to Home Assistant, and to use it as a glucose monitor and alarm for a person with diabetes and a Dexcom CGM G7. With its built-in speaker, I can make personalized announcements, play pre-recorded alarm sounds in MP3 format, and interact with the touch screen with automation programmed in HA. The advantage over other products is that the alarms can have different sounds and volumes depending on whether it's day, night, or the reason for the alarm. It is also capable of playing a voice announcement in any language. The repository to install it is on Github and published in the Home Assistant forum in the ESPHome section (only a beta).

works great having fun with it a lot, disappointing that the mp3 or micro sd does not recognize or work without effort of programming it your self . there is no other icons for the face either and there is no clock no function for touch screen unless you program it.. battery last me about 3 hours if you. can figure out the battery type you can replace it with name brand and probably get better millage, I use it alot and i notice it will over heat and then it starts to stutter. No instructions no online manual for any of it ..unless you can read Chinese some info on deepseek. Lost the foot there is no glue or any way for them to stay on as I try to glue it with my own glue i push thinking it would snap in and it wont and it fly out of my hand and lost. to bad..

I like the feature and it is talkative. The only issue I face is that it does not do online search for topics like current events or stock market unlike Amazon Echo Dot. with Alexa plus feature or Google Nest Mini with Google Gemni Feature. The setup is easy with a. given IP address and Xiaho Xi Wifi and Xiaomi.me wensite to configure the device. I would reccomemd to anyone who wants an AI companion.
