VDIAGTOOL V210 Automotive Circuit Breaker Finder Electrical Tester Wire Tracer Open & Short Circuit Finder DC 6-42V

Please note that V210 Electrical Circuit Tracer is an entry-level tester and can only roughly determine the short circuit area through sound signals but the exact short point in multiple and complex wires. Any issue before or after purchase, please check with us!

V210 is an automotive circuit tracer that uses tonal variations to pinpoint the exact location of circuit breakers, open circuits, broken wires and earth faults. It can accurately trace the path of wires and cables without damaging the insulation of the wiring harness. With its sensitive signal detection and audible alerts, users can quickly locate faults and reduce troubleshooting time. It is ideal for DIY enthusiasts, automotive mechanics, home repairers and technicians.

Why Choose VDIAGTOOL V210 Automotive Circuit Finder:

1.Locate Open Circuits

VDIAGTOOL V210 Open Circuit Detector features transmitter and receiver LED indicators for instant open-circuit detection and real-time audible alerts. It quickly locates broken wires, poor connections, leakage points, and traces cable routes without damaging wire insulation.

Simply switch to TONE mode, connect the red and black test leads to both ends of the target wire, and use the receiver for detection. When the circuit is properly connected, the receiver will remain silent. If there is an open circuit, broken wire, or poor connection, the receiver will emit an audible alert, helping you quickly identify and locate the faulty circuit.

2.Check Short Circuits

VDIAGTOOL V210 Automotive Short Circuit Tester can locate intermittent circuit faults by flexing wires, harnesses, or connectors while monitoring changes in the receiver's tone.

Switch to CONT mode and connect the red and black test leads to the same end of the two wires under test. If the green indicator flashes, it indicates an open circuit at that location. In sections where the circuit is intact, the receiver indicator remains illuminated and emits a rapid beep. As the probe approaches the break point, the indicator brightness and audible tone will weaken or disappear, allowing you to accurately locate the fault.

3.Continuity Function

Quickly verify circuit integrity and locate wiring faults with confidence. The V210 performs reliable continuity tests to identify open circuits, broken wires, and loose connections, helping you diagnose electrical problems faster without unnecessary disassembly.

Switch to CONT mode and connect the red and black test leads to both ends of the wire being tested. If the wire is in good condition, the green indicator light will illuminate. If the green indicator light does not illuminate, it indicates a fault in the wire.

4.Wire Tracing

V210 makes circuit tracing fast and effortless. Easily follow wire paths behind panels, dashboards, and wiring harnesses to locate hidden wires, identify open circuits, and diagnose electrical faults.

Simply switch to TONE mode, connect the red and black test leads to both ends of the target wire, and use the receiver to trace the circuit. Follow the audible signal along the wire path to quickly identify the routing of the wire and locate potential fault points.

5.Flexible Probe & Dual LED Lights

V210 automotive electrical open & short finder is equipped with a flexible probe and dual bright LED lights, delivering outstanding performance in various situations. Whether you’re working inside the engine compartment, narrow gaps, dark garages, or dimly lit spaces, it is your ideal go-to assistant.

VDIAGTOOL V210 Automotive Open/Short Finder Wide Compatibility:

VDIAGTOOL V210 Car Circuit Tester User Guide:

1. Select mode:

✔TONE mode – Use for open circuit detection or wire tracing;

✔CONT mode – Use for continuity checks or short circuit testing.

2.Connect sensors:

Attach the probes or clamps to the wire/cable being tested.

3.Diagnose:

The tool will indicate breaks (open) or unintended connections (short).

4. Precautions for use:

1)Signal strength affects volume: If the sound is low, try adjusting the probe position to find a stronger signal for accurate detection;

2)The sound signal may be affected by propagation,resistance, shielding, and circuit complexity. To improve accuracy, check wiring step-by-step and complete signals to pinpoint the exact short;

3) When the signal is not strong enough, the volume will be low in the receiver, please find a strong signal and try to turn the signal up to the highest level; checking whether the battery power is sufficient at the same time, since it will effect the tool working properly. When the tool is not used, please leave it in the OFF position or remove the batteries directly to avoid draining the power;

4)V210 is an entry-level tester and can only roughly determine the short circuit area through sound signals but the exact short point in multiple and complex wires. Any issue before or after purchase, please check with us!
