1pcs M14X1.5 HSS Metric Thread Tap Straight Fluted Screw Thread Right Hand Tap Drill Hand Tool

Use:

This is a small straight groove tap, which can be used for tapping of round through holes or shallow blind holes. Pay special attention to not being used for blind hole tapping.

This tap is made of HSS6542, which is stronger and more durable than ordinary taps.

When using this product for tapping, it can be used with manual equipment or special processing consoles, such as tapping machines, drill-in-one bench drills, CNC lathes, machining centers, etc.

With this product, you can finish tapping on stainless steel, iron, aluminum, copper, general steel and other materials.

Specification:

Material: HSS6542

Note:

1. Straight flute taps are used for through hole and shallow blind hole tapping, not for blind hole tapping.

2.Before tapping, confirm whether the diameter of the round hole is appropriate. If the hole is too small for tapping, the tap will wear out more unnecessary, which will increase the risk of tap breakage.

3. Control the speed according to the hardness of the material. The higher the hardness of the processed product, the slower the speed.

4. When tapping, it is necessary to add water or coolant to cool down to prevent excessive temperature and reduce tap loss.

5. When the tap is working, if it encounters difficulty in rotation, the tapping should be suspended. Check the hole diameter and material again, and increase the cooling to reduce the risk of tap damage.

6. Please be sure to take protective measures when working, and you need to wear goggles and protective gloves.
