CJMCU-9548 TCA9548A 1 To 8 I2C Multi-Channel Expansion Board 8 Channel Expansion Board I2C Module Development Board IIC Multiplexer Breakout Board For Arduino for Chaining Modules
Feature:
1. Seamless communication and usage: Connect multiple I2C devices with the same address to the adapter and the main control board's I2C port of multiplexer breakout board for effortless communication and smooth operation.
2. 8 I2C interfaces on one board: This multi-channel expansion board features 8 I2C interfaces, each controlled by a bidirectional switching switch through the I2C bus. By using this board, you can connect 8 devices with the same address to a single I2C port. The default address for this board is 0x70, but it can be changed to any address between 0x70-0x77 as per your requirement. In theory, you can cascade up to 8 boards, with each board connecting 8 devices with the same address. This powerful setup allows you to connect and use up to 64 devices with the same address through a single I2C port.
3. Compatibility and flexibility: Compatible with both I2C bus and System Management Bus (SMBus), this I2C module development board supports low-level effective reset input, hot-plug capability, low standby current, glitch-free power-up, and voltage level shifting between 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V buses.
4. Programmable control registers: With programmable control registers, you have the flexibility to select any individual SCn/SDn channel or channel combination. In case of timeout or improper operation, the TCA9548A can be easily reset by setting the /RESET input to a low-level signal with IIC multiplexer breakout board. Similarly, power-up reset deselects all channels and initializes the I2C/SMBus state machine. Reset and initialization can be achieved by setting the /RESET high without the need to power off the device.
5. Voltage level control and protection: The switch has conducting gate pins, allowing the VCC pin to limit the maximum high voltage passing through the TCA9548A. 8 channel expansion board feature enables the usage of differet bus voltages for each channel. For example, 1.8V, 2.5V, or 3.3V components can communicate with 5V components without the need for additional protection. Each channel can be pulled up to the desired voltage level using external pull-up resistors. All I/O pins are rated for 5V voltage, ensuring reliable performance.

You Find An I2c Sensor And You Want To Connect Two Or Three Or More Of Them To Yours When You Realize "Oh, This Chip Has A Fixed I2c Address, And From What I Know About I2c, You Can'T Have Two Devices At The Same Sda/Scl Pin With The Same Address! "Are You Out Of Luck? You Will Be, If You Don'T Have This Cold 9548 To 8 I2c Multiplexer!
Finally, A Way To Reach 8 Identically Addressed I2c Devices Connected To A Microcontroller - This Multiplexer Acts As A Gatekeeper, Shuttling Commands To Selected I2c Pins With Your Commands.

Using It Is Fairly Simple: The Multiplexer Itself Is On I2c Address 0x70 (But Can Be Adjusted From 0x70 To 0x77), And You Only Need To Write One Byte For The Desired Number Of Multiplexed Outputs, Ports, And Bam - Any Future I2c Packets Will Be Sent To That Port. In Theory, You Could Have 8 Multiplexers, Each With 0x70-0x77 Addresses In Order To Control 64 Same-I2c-Addressed-Parts.
Like All Adafruit Breakouts, We Put This Nice Chip On The Breakout For You So You Can Use It For Capacitor And Resistor Detection On The Circuit Board, And Make Use Of The Card. Some Of The Headers Are Normal And Once Soldered Can Be Plugged Into A Breadboard. The Chip Itself Is 3v And 5v Compatible So You Can Use It With Any Logic Level.
