Purpose of the product

The Implant Stability Meter used to measure the stability of oral or craniofacial implants. It is a complete diagnostic system for determining the stability of implants, which provides a precise data for dentists. It is consistent and reliable measurement tool; creating a clinical database in order to better serve dental patients.

Three-step operation

Step one: Put a torque wrench on the measuring rod, then tighten the rod with a force of 4-6N.

Step two: Place the probe close to the tip of the measuring rod (non-contact) and the probe emits a magnetic pulse that is sensed on the sensor.

Step Three: When the device receives the signal, it will beeps and displays the ISQ value. The ISQ value is generally more than 62%, which mean can be planted. The higher ISQ values the higher means stronger stability (the measurement range should be within 4-6MM, it should not be close to the sensor or the tip of the calibrator which in order to avoid erroneous data).

About the ISQ value

The mobility between the implant and bone interface decreases as the ISQ value increases.

An initial ISQ value is measured at the beginning of implant placement in the bone tissue.

A secondary ISQ value is obtained before the second stage of restoration as understand the degree of osseointegration.

Below 55, it is an early warning. Which can raise the index by changing the treatment plan (e.g., switching to a thicker diameter implant or delaying implant phase II).

Initial stability is usually tends to rise over time. Mechanical stability being replaced by osseointegration.

The value greater than or equal to 70 is normal but it tends to decrease over time, while biostability will gradually rise to replace mechanical stability.
