SVBONY Black Dew Heating Strip 12V 480mm/560mm for Astronomical Telescope/Camera SLR Lens SV192

What causes dew on a telescope?

When the surface of your telescope objective or camera lens drops below the ambient temperature of the air outside, moisture begins to condense. On a night with high levels of moisture in the air, dew forms even more aggressively. A telescope that has been “dewed-up” no longer captures clear images of your deep-sky target, and instead captures a washed-out featureless image that resembles a flat frame.

To be a little more technical, the heat from the warmer telescope transfers to the colder outside temperature via radiation. When the telescope radiates its heat to the sky, it quickly cools down and drops below the dew point temperature. This chain of events causes condensation to form on your telescope or camera lens.

Dew will ruin your imaging process

Using dew heaters with your astrophotography rig can be the difference between capturing hours worth of exposure time on a target, and coming up empty-handed.

Dew prevention is an essential precaution needed for long exposure imaging sessions and is something you will inevitably need to address at one point or another.

Designed for astronomy telescopes

5.5X2.1 female interface design，easy connected to various 12V power inputs.

Three-speed regulator with medium weak heating mode

You can adjust the temperature according to different usage requirements. Super-fast continuous heating, quick start heating.

The narrow width of 50mm will not interfere with focusing

The narrow width of 50mm will not interfere with focusing, and will not produce vignetting in the field of view; the width also reduces the interference of other accessories on the lens barrel.

Good heat preservation effect

Good heat preservation effect: imitating OK cloth, SBR and Black-T three-layer heat preservation material, reducing heat dissipation, and no wrinkles on the inner surface after bending. It is more suitable for the lens barrel and increases the warmth retention effect.

TPE Silica of material;1M Long Cable

The SV192 dew heater strip is made of TPE material, which is completely recyclable material. And the molecular structure of TPE is more closed than other. It's power cord low temperature non-become hard.

Because the cord for charging is long, it can be used without trouble even while connecting to the power bank put on the ground.
