Cashmere Famous As Soft Gold

Difference Between Cashmere With Wool

Wool come from sheep, cashmere comes from goats.

Fiber characteristics: The fiber diameter of cashmere is smaller than wool, the texture is more delicate and soft, and the scale structure of cashmere is smaller, making its thermal performance better than wool. Wool fibers are relatively thick, hard in texture, and not as warm as cashmere.

Production: The production of cashmere is much lower than wool. Each goat can produce only a few dozen grams of cashmere a year, while the average sheep can produce 10 to 18 kilograms of wool a year.

Heat preservation: The warmth of cashmere is 4 to 8 times that of wool, which is mainly due to the hollow structure of cashmere fiber and small scales, so that it can better lock the air to form a insulation layer.

Skin affinity and hygroscopicity: Cashmere is more skin friendly than wool and hygroscopicity is stronger. Cashmere sweaters are the most absorbent of all textile fibers, and wool, although hygroscopic, is also good, but compared to cashmere is still slightly inferior. The fibers of cashmere are hollow and wool is solid, so cashmere is lighter, softer and warmer than wool,

Price:The price is also much more expensive than wool, the cost of a kilogram of cashmere is 150 US dollars, a dress according to 0.2 kg calculation, if less than 40 US dollars, it should be a fake, after all, no seller will lose money.
