Product Features
High Forming Precision: Designed for vacuum forming machines. Heats and softens evenly, allowing precise replication of plaster model details and ensuring a close fit of the appliance.
Easy to Process: Easy to stretch and form after softening. Easy to trim with scissors or a professional trimming wheel after cooling, resulting in smooth edges.
Premium Material: Made from high-quality medical-grade material. The finished product offers high strength, good abrasion resistance, is odorless, and has excellent biocompatibility.
Usage Steps (Brief Guide)
Prepare the Model: Ensure the plaster model is dry, smooth, and free of undercuts.
Cut and Secure: Cut the thermoforming sheet to an appropriate size based on the model. Firmly clamp it onto the holding frame of the forming machine.
Heating: Use the heating element of the vacuum forming machine to heat the sheet evenly until it sags uniformly to the specified degree (refer to equipment manual for specific time).
Forming: Quickly drape the softened sheet over the model and activate the vacuum to draw it tightly onto the model contours.
Cooling and Removal: Allow the sheet to cool and solidify completely before removing the formed appliance from the model.
Trimming and Polishing: Trim excess material along the predetermined margin and polish the edges.
Precautions
Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry, and dark place. Never place in high-temperature environments (e.g., near radiators, ovens, or in direct sunlight) to prevent material deformation or performance degradation.
Operational Safety: The edges of the cooled, formed appliance can be sharp. Exercise caution during trimming to avoid finger cuts. The use of protective gloves is recommended.
Pre-Use Preparation: The sheet surface usually has a protective scratch-resistant film. Before use (before heating), be sure to remove this protective film to ensure optimal forming results and material performance.
Thickness Selection: Choose the appropriate thickness and type based on clinical needs (e.g., required strength, flexibility, and wearing comfort of the appliance).
Storage Recommendation
Store unused thermoforming sheets flat in their original packaging. Avoid crushing, bending, or folding.
It is recommended to use on a "first-in, first-out" basis for optimal material performance.
