Dental Desensitizer Dentin Sensitive Alleviate

GLUMA Desensitizer is designed to treat dentin hypersensitivity. Dentin sensitivity occurs when stimuli trigger fluid flow in open dentinal tubules, which activates nerve endings in the pulp and causes pain. This product works by precipitating proteins inside the dentinal tubules, physically blocking them and reducing dentin permeability. This effectively stops fluid movement, providing fast and long-lasting desensitization.

Mechanism of Action & Indications

It is indicated for:
1.Treating dentin hypersensitivity
2.Preventing post-operative sensitivity after cavity preparation or tooth preparation

Usage & Dosage

1.Clean the tooth surface thoroughly (use polishing paste; local anesthetic may be used if needed), then rinse with water.
2.Isolate the oral mucosa with a rubber dam to ensure the desensitizer only contacts the treatment area.
3.Apply a thin layer of GLUMA Desensitizer to the sensitive tooth surface using a cotton pellet or brush, and leave it on for 30–60 seconds.
4.Gently air dry the surface until the liquid film disappears and the tooth is no longer shiny. Rinse with water afterward.
5.For deep cavities or areas near the pulp, apply a suitable liner/base before proceeding.
6.If sensitivity persists or returns quickly after one treatment, repeat the procedure during the same or next appointment.
7.If the desired effect is not achieved with GLUMA Desensitizer alone, follow with GLUMA Bonding Agent as described below.

Prevention of Post-Operative Sensitivity

1.Isolate the oral mucosa with a rubber dam to ensure the desensitizer only contacts the prepared tooth surface.
2.Gently air dry the dentin surface (do not over-dry).
3.Apply a thin layer of GLUMA Desensitizer to the prepared tooth surface using a cotton pellet or brush, leave for 30–60 seconds, ensuring only the target area is coated.
4.Gently air dry until the liquid film disappears and the tooth is no longer shiny, then rinse with water.
5.Apply a liner/base to deep cavities or areas near the pulp before proceeding with restoration.
