TECHNICAL EXPLANATION

This product has 13 outlet holes, each with a nominal diameter of approximately 1 mm.

Because the holes are extremely small, a thin water film forms across their openings. Surface tension creates a curved water membrane, or meniscus, at each hole. Water begins to drip only when the local water pressure is sufficient to overcome this surface-tension resistance.

Therefore, even when the product is perfectly level, the 13 holes may not begin dripping at the same time or at exactly the same rate. Small differences in local water pressure, flow distribution, wetting condition, residual droplets, trapped air and water level can cause some holes to release water first while others remain temporarily held by the water film.

Water temporarily dripping from only some of the holes, or different holes dripping at different rates, is a normal physical phenomenon associated with 1 mm micro-outlets. It is not caused by inconsistent hole diameters and does not indicate a manufacturing or quality defect.

The product is designed to distribute water over different positions of the coffee bed. It is not designed to guarantee that all 13 holes release identical drops simultaneously at every moment.
