Key Features:

1. Bidirectional Energy Monitoring: Measures both energy consumption from the grid and energy exported back, essential for solar PV system users.

2. Net Energy Metering Support: Support NEM (Net Energy Metering) function when monitoring a solar PV system.

3. DIN Rail: The DIN rail design and compact size make the WEM3050T easier to install in your electrical meter box.

4. Three-Phase, Four-Wire Energy Meter with Wide Voltage Support: Supports 80V–277VAC (Phase Voltage) and 140V–480VAC (Line Voltage).

5. Flexible Measurement for Various Power Systems: Supports single-phase, three-phase (four-wire), and split-phase energy monitoring. Optimized for split-phase users (common in North America), enabling a single meter to monitor both the grid and the inverter simultaneously, making it ideal for solar PV applications.

6. Comprehensive Power Analysis: Supports reactive power measurement, providing both kVAR (reactive power) and kVARh (reactive energy) readings.

7. Seamless Connectivity & Broad Compatibility: Supports Modbus/TCP and a RESTful API, enabling real-time data access for other devices on the same network. Offers multiple data upload protocols, including MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, and TCP/TLS, allowing direct JSON data transmission to user-owned servers.

8. Fully compatible with popular open-source platforms: such as Home Assistant, NodeRed, OpenHAB, ioBroker, Zabbix, Thingsboard, and more, ensuring flexible integration into various energy management systems.

9. Increase Solar Self-Consumption: Pair with IAMMETER WPC3700 WiFi Power Controller to automate boilers or heaters, improving your solar self-use ratio and reducing your electricity bills.

Save on Electricity Costs with WEM3050T

At IAMMETER, we believe a smart meter should do more than just measure electricity—it should be an essential tool for energy management, helping users reduce electricity costs effectively.

For users without solar panels, real-time energy monitoring helps identify and eliminate unnecessary or abnormal electricity consumption, leading to direct cost savings.

For solar PV users, self-consumption is key to maximizing savings since feed-in tariffs are often lower than electricity rates. By automating EV charging or heater operation based on solar surplus, users can minimize grid export and maximize energy efficiency.

Whether you're using the basic cost-saving model or an advanced solar optimization approach, WEM3050T provides flexible solutions to help you take control of your energy costs. Here, we showcase some classic solutions.

Monitor Solar PV system in Home Assistant

Charge EV with Solar Surplus in Home Assistant

Although IAMMETER does not produce EV chargers, IAMMETER Cloud supports the OCPP protocol, allowing you to integrate any OCPP-compatible EV charger. You can set different charging strategies and control charging power based on time or SOC values.

Smart Water Heating: Use More Solar, Less or Zero Grid Power

The PV Heater Control System ensures that your heater’s energy consumption is entirely supplied by solar power, increasing the self-consumption rate of your PV system and reducing electricity expenses.

Monitor Split-Phase Grid and Inverter Output with a Single WEM3050T Unit

The PV Heater Control System ensures that your heater’s energy consumption is entirely supplied by solar power, increasing the self-consumption rate of your PV system and reducing electricity expenses.

1. IAMMETER Docker

IAMMETER Docker is an open source energy monitoring system, deployed by IAMMETER.

Deploy in your own server (recommend to use Raspberry PI as your server).

Running as API server, you can design and develop your own UI by open API.

2. IAMMETER-cloud

IAMMETER-cloud is a dedicated Energy Monitoring System developed to seamlessly connect with IAMMETER's Wi-Fi energy meter. It enables real-time monitoring of electricity usage across diverse settings: household, commercial, industrial, and solar PV systems.
