Sewing Machine Portable Sewing Machine for Beginners 38 Built-in Stitches

Q: Why is my sewing machine skipping stitches?

A: A bent or dull needle causes skipped stitches. Replace the needle if it's dull or bent. Make sure that you're using the proper needle for the fabric you're sewing. Incorrect machine threading also causes skipped stitches.

Q: How often should I change my sewing machine needle?

A: Replace the needle any time you notice a change in your stitches or see the fabric puckering.  Replace the needle if it's bent or damaged.

Q: Why is my bobbin not winding evenly?

A: It’s possible you have not placed the thread correctly around the bobbin winding tension spring. Please try wrapping the thread around the tension spring a second time.
