The whole point of a compression plug is for the top cap to compress into the stem/spacers on the fork. In order to do this, the plug must have the grip (provided enough Nm is supplied) to hold on the carbon steerer to prevent it from moving. This plug gives the impression of a textured, grippy surface but is nearly completely flat, and carbon paste does not help if the surface isn’t grippy to begin with. Don’t buy it, it could potentially results in a very dangerous or even fatal injury when riding!
