I have all DL7 versions, also DL1. best: -DL7 new lots all steels (full smooth scales) -DL7 titanium (awesome but scales moved around, in the low small pivots) -DL7 G10 nice less durable -DL1 all steel, holes in scales are annoying, also sloppy assembly This G10 version is very nice, good for lighter tasks, I strongly reccomend immediately dropping the thumbstud for superior opening hole. I swapped blades on mine. Also required shortening of female pivot, for tighter fit (loose from factory). DL7 G10: 7.5/10 DL7 all metal: 8/10 Implement richer steels 10cr15mov at higher HRCs and tighten assembly, no play anywhere, let wear space for liner locks on new lots, 60/70% lock engagement, no more.

My favourite size is m (charge, wave, dl7, dl1...) but i like also l (surge, dl30, t1, dk27, ghk...). This dl7 is one of the best model and also best version: medium size with: -best head -full metal durable scales, without annoying holes (ti is not mandatory). G10 is nice but second choiche -best knife profile with hole 👍 (i don't like thumbstud 👎 ) -clip on correct side Also i noticed the new anti play system, for handles, very nice, new idea 😃 👍 , evolving capabilities. Love it 8/10 Reccomended only metallurgy evolution of steels: more carbon, more hrcs (keep chrome under 15%, negative element). Design and size is perfect 😃 👍 Also good value.

Excellent model, i much prefer this version with full steel scales, over old lots with perforated scales (holes are annoying, while gripping). All metal construction is the best, most durable, avoid plastic components. Ti is nice but not mandatory, also steel can be slimmer (both good solutions). G10 composites are nice but second choice. Instead i love opening holes 👍 On blades, way better then thumbstuds 👎 For handles texture, i prefer smooth texture, nicer but this dots texture is confortable also, just less nice. Accessories and capabilities are top notch, incredible, especially for the price, excellent 😃 👍 👏 Mainly upgrade: evolved metallurgy, more carbon and more hrcs +2 on everything, harder steels (keep chrome under 15%, negative element). Also implementing forging and chriogenics. Overall 8/10 Awesome model, highly reccomended 👍 I like this large size but my favourite is medium dl7, got both 👍 👍 😃 😃 (double joy)

I own several Leatherman, Swisstool, and SOG multitools, but they are actually too nice to use as EDC tools. That's why I was looking for an affordable tool that wouldn't be too bad if it got a few scratches or got lost. I liked the Daicamping 301 because it also included a file, 2 saws, and a scalpel blade holder. The holder for scalpel blades is not among my other tools. The worst part about the whole thing is that I now find this Daicamping DL301 too good to use as an EDC tool because the quality is really outstanding for a "China clone." Everything is very cleanly made and sharp; only the steel quality is not at the same level as the more expensive multitools. Otherwise, it's not inferior to the branded ones at all. I'm really impressed by the quality. I wanted a low-cost alternative so I wouldn't have to carry around the expensive tools all the time. Now I have something cheap and even that is too bad for me LOL. A+++
